Caries treatment

Caries is not just a “small spot” on a tooth. Without treatment, it gradually destroys the enamel and goes deeper, which can lead to pain, inflammation, and more complicated restoration.

Treatment should begin at the first signs of caries: the appearance of yellow plaque and black spots on the enamel surface. The earlier you seek treatment, the easier, faster, and more delicate it will be.

  1. Fillings

The most common option when the damage is minor or moderate. The dentist removes the affected tissue and restores the shape of the tooth with a filling so that it looks and functions properly again.

  1. e.max CAD Cerec® inlays

When a filling is no longer an option (the caries is large or the tooth walls are weakened), a ceramic inlay may be a more reliable solution. It is custom-made for your tooth and more accurately reproduces its anatomy and contact points.

  1. e.max CAD Cerec® crowns

If the tooth is severely damaged or weakened (for example, after extensive treatment), a crown may be the best way to protect the tooth and restore it completely. It covers the tooth on all sides and helps restore its strength.

Why you shouldn’t put it off:

– Less damage means less intervention

– Easier restoration means a better prognosis

– Less chance of pain and complications

The final treatment method (filling, inlay, or crown) is determined by the doctor after examination and diagnosis, depending on the depth of the damage and the condition of the tooth.
