Our teeth are complex mechanisms. And to keep them in excellent condition, sometimes it is necessary to treat what is not visible at first glance — the root canals. This is often where the cause of pain, inflammation, or “strange” sensations in the tooth lies — even when it looks completely normal on the outside.
What could be causing the problem?
– Caries was not treated in time and has spread deeper.
– Old fillings or crowns were replaced poorly, allowing bacteria to enter the tooth.
– The tooth was injured.
What is the complexity of endodontics?
Endodontic treatment takes place inside the tooth, so it requires maximum precision.
One tooth may have 1 canal, while another may have 4–5 canals (especially “eights”). At the same time, the number of canals does not always coincide with the number of roots. The canals can be very narrow, have complex shapes, bends, and hard-to-reach areas, which is why control and precise technique are important.
Why do we treat canals exclusively under a microscope?
At RIKOTA, endodontists work only under a dental microscope — this is our fundamental advantage. The microscope provides magnification and powerful lighting, allowing the doctor to see more and control every millimeter of the work.
Advantages of treatment under a microscope:
– maximum precision at every stage of treatment;
– control of complex canals: bends, additional canals, hard-to-reach areas;
– better prognosis and lower risk of re-inflammation;
– preservation of teeth that previously might have been recommended for extraction.
Thanks to the latest endodontic protocols, it is now possible to save teeth that until recently were considered “hopeless.” Combined with the latest generation of materials and an experienced team, we do everything to ensure that the treatment is comfortable and the result is stable and long-lasting.
